“Beautiful building and grounds, staff professional and friendly. Was a very reasonable price for bed and breakfast however rooms and corridors are tired, but I expect there are rooms that cost more that had been refurbished. A property of this size and grandeur must cost a fortune to renovate. ”

“It was an ideal place for my husband and I, and our 2 dogs after being in the area for an Off roading event. The food was lovely and the staff super helpful, including offering to make numerous other event guests a takeaway breakfast as we were leaving early. Thank you to all the staff. ”

“Stayed one night in triple room on road trip around Dumfries & Galloway. Room clean and comfortable with a microwave and fridge a bonus. Only negative was lack of electric sockets, although this was not really problematic. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and with a good cooked breakfast. Parking was also easy. Would stay again.”

“We booked this B&B pretty much last minute without checking the reviews but it wouldn't have put us off as everyone and their expectations are different. Our room was pretty big that a kingsize bed would have easily fit in. The bed was comfortable. After a few hours, we realised how thin the walls were as we could hear other guests in their rooms as though they were in ours with us. The B&B next door uses the breakfast facilities of the Caledonian so there was a lot of noise coming in from……
