“Overall a very comfortable experience. This is the second time we stayed in Macdonald's hotel, opted for half board and loved our meals everynight. Breakfast was great, would be nice to have meatfree options for vegetarians, even if not in buffet but can offer to prepare it if requested, still loved scones and beans and pancakes, kind and caring staff.”

“I was really impressed with the quality of the accommodation. It was very modern and stylish and spotlessly clean. The little kitchenette area was very useful and there were glasses and crockery etc. I loved it and would definitely stay here again. Great location right in the middle of Aviemore too.”

“Ken and Gill are the perfect hosts! Cook to order breakfast, amazing coffee, and pastries. We were heading to Skye after our stay and Ken gave us a route that we thoroughly enjoyed! Coos on the side of the road, waterfall hikes, and a trip around Loch Ness were included in his advice. Do not hesitate to stay at this amazing property. ”

“We were a big party of 10 and we had a great time staying with you guys. We did ask on the second morning if we could all eat breakfast in the conservatory area and were told no we had to sit at our allocated tables, this did seem a bit strange but it did not detract from our enjoyment . Mark is a marvellous host ”

“Super accommodating friendly staff, room was spotless and they have amazingly soft towels. This wasn’t our first time staying here and it was just as expected, it is our forever home whenever visiting Aviemore what more is there to say other than just get yourself booked in if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Aviemore. ”

“Staying at this property feels like stepping back into the 1800s. I've never seen so much wood and the decor is really nice. very very friendly staff and though it is a bit rough to get to it is worth the drive. I would stay here again in an instant. I will make one note that you should expect spotty internet, but everything else was completely excellent and absolutely worth a second trip!”
