“Dune it Right" in Palmetto Dunes!

Why pack more than you need! We have bikes, beach chairs, beach cart, beach chairs, kid carrier, pool/beach toys, board games, crib/high chair and a kitchen filled with everything you need but the food! Plus your are VERY close to the beach! Pool/spa is open all year. You may heat the pool & spa for an additional fee.

Our home features 5 bedrooms 5.5 baths located on the Inverness side of Gated Palmetto Dunes. Beautiful tile flooring throughout the main living areas, kitchen, dining area and bathrooms. Large and spacious open kitchen has granite counters, new appliances and opens to the great room with vaulted ceilings. Screened in back porch off the living room and opens up to the wooded backyard with private pool and spa.

The master bedroom has a king bed with a flat-screen television, and private access to the deck; the master bathroom features a garden tub and tile shower & granite countertops. Three of the remaining bedrooms have a queen bed with private bathrooms, with two double beds in the last bedroom. All bedrooms have private bathrooms and flat screen TV's.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles.



Palmetto Dunes Features: The premier gated resort; Palmetto Dunes resort located mid island on 1800 well-preserved acres, features 3 miles of white sand beach, 11 miles of winding lagoons, largest tennis center on the island with 25 tennis courts, with three public world-class golf courses and guest fitness and tennis centers. Canoe and kayak through the intricate 11-mile lagoon system or relax with shopping, dining and kids' activities and entertainment. At the heart of Palmetto Dunes is Shelter Cove Marina, a signature waterfront neighborhood that hosts some of the best island cuisine, boutiques, art galleries, watersports, tours, kids events and a weekly waterfront fireworks display (seasonal).

Access to Palmetto Dunes Buggy, a seasonal van that will pick up you up at your vacation rental and take you to Shelter Cove Harbour, the Dunes Beach Club, Shelter Cove Towne Center or the Plaza at Shelter Cove. The Buggy currently runs April through September.

Great location and exceptionally comfortable home
It was a perfect week at Hilton Head. Great location within 5 min walk or 2 min bicycle ride to the beach. A very comfortable stay, the house has everything you need for relaxation and fun, plus great communication with the owner at any time.

Family and pet friendly
Our family enjoyed the privacy of baths for each bedroom. We had the pool heated and spent much time there. Walk to beach takes approximately 10 minutes. It’s a beautiful walk. Peggy is very accessible. This was our second year at her house.

Great getaway at Hilton Head
I stayed her with our family of 8. We were close to the beach -5 minute walk. Pool was great. Plenty of sun. Rooms were a perfect fit with everyone having their own bathrooms. Would stay her again.

Home away from home
We found the property to be a perfect fit for our family. There were 12 of us staying in the house as well as friends who came together with us for several dinners. We were there during Tropical Storm Debby, with 3 days of rain but the house allowed for plenty of space for board games, puzzles, and watching the Olympics. The pool was also a great advantage when the rain let up as well as the sunny days that followed. The kitchen was well appointed, the bedrooms and baths well kept, and all the beach chairs and bicycles were a plus! We would definitely stay here again!

Great house
The house was great. Beautiful. Very clean. Nice pool, but mostly shaded. DO NOT pay the high price to have the jacuzzi heated! We only got to use it a couple of times even after waiting hours. Jets are not great either. The beach walk was not the easiest if you’re carrying things. The host was easily accessible.

Stunning property
The pictures don’t do justice to this property. Truly beautiful and plenty of space to give privacy for the introverts. Peggy goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. We found a few issues that we wanted her to be aware of but didn’t bother us. She had her crew there right away. They didn’t waste anytime making sure everything was corrected. Her properties will be on the top of our list if we visit again.

The VRBO was as advertised with GREAT host communication. Very clean and great location. Bikes were nice plus all the beach stuff we used. Peggy was in constant communication which was a comfort factor. Private pool and Hot tub didn't hurt.

Perfect spot
Great location. Leafy neighborhood, short walk to the beach. Great interior layout with open spaces and plenty of bedrooms, etc. kitchen had everything we needed and then some for family meals. Definitely coming back to this place.

Amazing
We had the best week in this rental. We are regularly renting big beach houses, but never had one that was so well equipped. It has a great layout as the bed rooms are as far away from the living area as they can be, which allowed our little ones to sleep well. The short walk to the beach and location of the house in the very end of St. George with no traffic made it even more enjoyable for the little ones to play safely outside.

Family Vacation
This house, location and amenities were all as described and just beautiful. It was the perfect vacation home for our family with three teens and the grandparents. The pool was amazing and right out the back door. We didn’t even need to rent bikes. They have a garage full of them to use. The owners checked in and were helpful and welcoming. It was a great vacation rental.

Everything about our stay was exceptional!! We have used VRBO for vacation rentals in Hilton Head for the last five years and every home we stayed in was beautiful, close to the beach and had a pool. What sets this rental apart is the owners!! From my very first communication with Peggy I felt welcomed and that never went away throughout our stay. They thought of everything you would ever need, some you didn’t even know you needed! Everything about the home is clearly marked and they have very clear instructions for everything. My husband, myself and our two golden retrievers found our go to when we visit Hilton Head. Maybe next year we’ll switch up and try another Peggy property! Exactly what we were looking for
The house was immaculate and there is so many amenities available in the home that made packing and traveling so much easier, like wagons and coolers for the beach. As well as bikes for the entire family to use, a baby tow-behind that my daughter loved and so many fun toys for the pool. Peggy's home is perfect! The Palmetto Dunes is the perfect location. Peggy's home was just as pictured and more! Peggy's instructions were perfect so we did not worry about anything! The house was clean and ready to go the moment we arrived. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was so nice when traveling with a group, everyone had their own space. The way the kitchen opens up to the seating areas made it perfect for socializing with family. We highly recommend this home! It does not disappoint 😊

Family vacation
The home was beautiful. The only reason I didn’t give cleanliness 5 stars is the sun porch had dirty hand marks all around the door and door handle. It was difficult to use the hot tub because it took 1.5hrs to heat up. In the queen bedroom off the kitchen one lightbulb in the ceiling fan/light did not respond to the remote control so we couldn’t have the fan on while we slept unless we wanted the light on as well. These are all very minor. We had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful.

This house was great! SO SPACIOUS! Owners were very responsive for whatever we needed, kitchen fully stocked, plenty of seating everywhere! Bikes, linens, beach towels, beach chairs ALL INCLUDED!! Our only complaint is the pool is shaded, which i know they’re not allowed to take down trees. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this wonderful house!

Wonderful home!
What a wonderful time we had staying at this house, would highly recommend it! It was our family of 5 and another family of 4...plenty spacious for all of us. Such a well stocked kitchen to cook in on nights when you don't feel like going out! The house was very clean and well stocked with towels and other essentials when we arrived.A short walk/ride to the beach made it super easy. Kroger was a short trip to buy groceries and there are a ton of great restaurants close by. Peggy was quick to respond any time we had questions. was our third trip to HHI and would defiantly rent again from Peggy and Dave.
