“Not what I was expecting for downtown Charleston, but it didn't have a great rating to begin with so I shouldn't have been surprised. The furniture was worn and stained. The coffee area could only serve one person at a time, comfortably. The Staff was very nice but not very well schooled on customer service. I don't think a receptionist should stop in the middle of checking me in to answer the phone, except to maybe say "please hold". She then proceeded to give directions to someone while I'm……

“The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy.……
