“I was very pleased to make the right choice to stay at Katamaran during my 3 days 2 nights visit to Labuan Bajo. 1. The proximity to the airport and to local restaurants/ harbor. It only took 15 minutes by car/taxi/charter car. Most of the trip cost about Rp. 100k 2. This hotel is considered pretty new and also very well maintained. “I chose this hotel because it’s so close to the harbor and my kid could get 10 more minutes sleep on the day for our speed boat trip. But the prayer at 4:00 am was rather loud, I respect the culture but … then actually my kid had a lot less sleep! And then 6:00am, crazy loud music was playing across the street (we were on the hill side). I left the fruit from breakfast box in the fridge and at night, papaya was molded! “We've been very impressed with this place so far. The main downside is that it's a good ways outside of downtown Labuan Bajo, but honestly, that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's still a short drive or Grab ride into town and they offered pick up and drop off to the property included. The villa itself is beautiful. “The room, staff and food was lovely. But, the Safety, risk and emergency procedures make this a dangerous place to stay. I fell off the jetty due to poor lighting, breaking a number of bones. My husband jumped in and saved me, other guests helped us, while staff were lovely they had no idea, could not swim and no first aid box or stretcher/board. “Our best stay in Flores. From the tranquility of the resort to the very tastefully decorated bungalows and the large open air bathroom with plants and other shell and wood work. A wonderful open air restaurant serving up fresh, organic fare and the excellent service by staff. An excellent wellness area, kayaka and paddle boards on offer. “Basic room, nice staffs and good location. But. They allow smokers to smoke on the top floor patio which causes the entire building to smell like cigs. Even during the Breakfast hours, they allow smoking resulting in second hand smoking for breakfast. There's no wifi. Towels are dingy. Door has a gap which allows unruly tourists noise and cigarette smells to come in. We requested early breakfast box the day before in the morning but we did not get any as the cook did not show up.
