“Beautiful hotel. Nothing to complain about”

“If you’re looking for total relaxation, Menjaga Bay is perfection. This was the most relaxed and beautiful holiday I could have asked for. The staff are absolutely wonderful. I stayed with my young daughter and we already miss the staff’s kindness and smiling faces. I used the spa daily (massage) and of all the hotels I stayed at in Indonesia, these ladies were the absolute best! Every different therapist gave a consistent and completely body melting massage. “I chose this hotel because it’s so close to the harbor and my kid could get 10 more minutes sleep on the day for our speed boat trip. But the prayer at 4:00 am was rather loud, I respect the culture but … then actually my kid had a lot less sleep! And then 6:00am, crazy loud music was playing across the street (we were on the hill side). I left the fruit from breakfast box in the fridge and at night, papaya was molded! Breakfast on 6th floor was not organized. I ordered a latte and need to go……

“Basic room, nice staffs and good location. But. They allow smokers to smoke on the top floor patio which causes the entire building to smell like cigs. Even during the Breakfast hours, they allow smoking resulting in second hand smoking for breakfast. There's no wifi. Towels are dingy. Door has a gap which allows unruly tourists noise and cigarette smells to come in. We requested early breakfast box the day before in the morning but we did not get any as the cook did not show up. “We stayed in the private pool villa which was a lovely treat. The villa location on the beach is great, it’s a quiet spot with a beautiful beach including resident turtle! Pros: the beds were comfortable and housekeeping was well done, and a great spot for the beautiful sunsets. Cons: out of town so good for quiet but hard unless you have a scooter (we hired one and it made the stay much easier), the check in was not great, just unorganised and unwelcoming, buffet breakfast was large but not……
