Farmington Inn in Farmington, New Mexico was the only available option for our stay in a two hour radius, we drove down, and when we arrived things looked ok, it was strange that the receptionist/office was at a small window with a small slot to pass documents, but OK, it was late-ish.
we checked in, found parking and of course the elevator is not working, and by the looks of it, it has not worked for years.
the property was not clean, but also OK, the rooms might still be OK, but of course they were not, other peoples hair in the bed (on the sheets as well as the cover) and on the towels.
the room reeked of marijuana, it "felt" unsafe, and then we saw the bullet holes in the wall, with a convenient arrow pointing to it with the text "FPD" which must have meant Farmington Police Department.
car alarms where going off a few times the few minutes we were there, there was a sketchy looking individual obseriving us from the moment we had parked and entered our room, this individual was up on the same floor as we had our room.
we checked out after having used the restroom and observed the uncleanliness of the room as well as the bullet hole.
I did not take any pictures because my concern switched to the safety of myself and my spouse.
do not book this hotel.
