"We had a great stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and such a lovely building. Room was a squeeze to negotiate the entrance way and was a bit dark in certain places. Bathroom was compact but lovely - very nice toiletries provided. Pool area was spotless and had good facilities. Ideal location from station and only a short walk into the centre of York."

"This was more Bed & Breakfast than hotel and was an ideal location for a one night stay in York. Easy to access from the Shambles area. I should have done more checking however as no car parking outside hotel and had to book at local car park 5 mins walk away. The hotel room was a small double and a little small for a couple. Would have been a perfect room for a single person. Breakfast was served downstairs in the Forest bar and was a great start to the day"
