“At first glance, everything appeared to be in decent order. The more we unpacked and established ourselves is when the dirt, dust and cobwebs appeared. The closet door that appeared to cover the HVAC unit had fluffy tufts of dust and dirt stuck to the slats. The counters were greasy. There was residual food left in the bottom of the kitchen trashcan. The shower curtain had mold, dirt and hair stuck to it - I just went ahead and bought a new one and replaced it. We were sent a "skip the check in"……

“Nice place and location. The doorknob key pad gave us problems but the owner was responsive and helpful. One trash can had not been emptied when we arrived, which our dog discovered for us. If you plan on entertaining here, you want to bring kitchen items you need as they are lacking things like a proper cutting board, broiler pan, and platters. Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay.”

“We had such a wonderful time staying at this property. The bedrooms/bathrooms/family room and downstairs layout were so perfect for our group of family friends with lots of teens! We used all the areas - including the outside carport and deck. The kitchen was really well stocked, and so were the towels/sheets etc. Caroline was a wonderful and responsive host - we didn’t have any issues, just a question or 2 and she responded immediately. We would stay here again! ”

“Beautiful home with minor inconveniences and issues. Furniture was just adequate. Screens on porch needed mended or replaced. Tv was plugged into a switched outlet which took us a while to figure out and on a narrow stand which led to some fear of it falling. Great things were that there is a trolley that will take you into town as well as parking passes if you choose to drive in. Quiet development”

“Overall the house and neighborhood were nice. The cleaning is lacking. There was visible mold, spider webs and dust in multiple places inside…we’re not particularly fussy about things but it was significant. The pullout bed had debris in it. We had spiders in the beds and ants in the kitchen and on the porch. On a positive note, the proximity to the trolley was great and the house would otherwise suit our needs for our family including a bunch of kids to get together. ”

“The decor was a little outdated and the spiral staircase is a challenge to climb with luggage. silverware not clean and dirty towels in the washer. Construction on outside being worked on during our stay. Pool was nice and short walk to boardwalk and beach. Very convenient.”

Only issue was really faulty Internet that took several days to be fixed by Vacasa - their communication with me about this issue was not great.”

There’s a mini golf and restaurants in the same parking lot, very close - the beach is a few blocks away as you have to walk around Sea Colony but very easy walk and also an easy .5 mile walk into downtown Bethany. We loved it and would stay again!”

“We stayed at the west Bethany property and we were so thankful for Caroline and Jeff. They saw that we needed a change of rental and it was last minute because of another canceled reservation- they called us and saved our thanksgiving. We had the best time. The house is perfect. Thank you! ”

“Agree with other reviews that property could use some basic TLC (lots of bulbs out) but it was clean and the property manager was responsive to questions and concerns. Lots of space and wonderful views. Would highly recommend. ”
