“Initial impressions of the hotel are great. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. A few negatives are that the floor in my room was dirty - could feel grit and dirt on my feet throughout, the breakfast was a little cold, and bathroom was a little grubby around the skirting boards (room 32). Breakfast dish was eggs Benedict - the muffin did not taste toasted at all and whole dish was a too cold. I would recommend staying here as all-in-all it was a good overnight stay.”

“A convenient overnight to attend a wedding. Staff were super helpful with an early check in to enable us to drop bags and change clothes before the service. Nice and quiet .. a sound sleep! Didnt book breakfast so unable to comment on this. ”

“Stayed for two nights midweek. Our room was well furnished and very clean. Well stocked hospitality tray with an essential coffee machine and a very welcome complimentary gin on arrival. Beautiful view across the river to Polruan. Excellent continental breakfast. Having just experienced Japanese service and hospitality, we were happy to find the staff at the Harbour Hotel can match this! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.”

“Warm reception and kind attentive staff throughout our stay. Dinner and breakfast both high quality cooking. Room had considerate touches like a coffee pod machine and a nightlight in the en-suite so you didn’t have the fan turn on in the night if you spent a penny. Lovely view out over harbour to sea.”

“Stayed many years ago and high standards have remained. Beautiful gardens. Only downside was the dinner menu which did not change over the three nights we stayed. When we commented on this, we were told that out of high season, guests didn’t stay for more than one or two nights.”
