「Great apartment in great house. Everything was comfortable and clean. It had a little kitchenette which we didn't use but it would have been useful for a longer stay. I have marked you down 1 star on Communications as I could find the information regarding check out time on the last day and it was hard to find it online, it said 11am in one place and 12 noon another. I had to go to the Holiday Inn checkout next door and ask them in person. 」

「All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. During our stay all else in...

「Thank you for an amazing stay. A great place with plenty of things to entertain people of all ages. The fact that it was dog friendly too was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Great communication from the owner throughout and we appreciated the welcome pack - it was so thoughtful. 」

「Our stay here was okay I mean we’ve been to worse places but as we arrived we were met with a hole in the floor between our 2 single beds. Then as we were going to microwave our food the microwave had mouldy food inside of it. The manager & cleaners did offer us a different room but we were settled by the time we found the food so we just stayed in our room. 「Bit difficult to find initially. Worth stating entrance is opposite Causey Arch Inn. Once there, cottages are are lovely, clean tidy and everything you need for a short break.Walking to Tanfield, the railway on a weekend」

「Everything was lovely, clean, well equiped and just as advertised. Full kitchen with all the equipment and even some supplies. Bath was clean and had all needed supplies. Beds were great, comphy. The only thing I want to draw attention to is accessibility. Not a criticism, but if one were disabled they would want to know: 2 steps down to kitchen, 3 steps more to bathroom, a full flight of steep steps outside down to the washer under the stairs」

The worst hotel stay in the entire trip

"Extremely poor service and stay. We were given a smaller room than we had asked for (images do not match the actual state of the room), and the air conditioner is broken; we were provided with fans but we do not have proper ventilation in our room, causing the room to be very hot and stuffy, and after taking a shower the room becomes very damp. Television does not work, and the fans aren't very good. There are also insect stains on the bedding. Service is misleading, we were told that our check out was at noon however we were urged to leave as soon as 11am came by, asking to charge us for overstaying in the hotel. Our belongings were held at the lobby as well because of this, and the staff were reluctant to return our belongings. Extremely disappointed at the service and conditions of the hotel, will not recommend it to anyone."
