Historic Speak Easy Loft with Water Views in Downtown Vicksburg

River View Loft in Historic Downtown Vicksburg, Ms. This one of a kind Loft boasts over 1700 sq. ft. of original wide planked wood floors, brick walls and wood beam ceilings. It overlooks the Yazoo Diversion Canal to the West ( living area) and the east end (bedroom ) faces the Old Court House and Historic Downtown. This building dates back to the 1800's and was used as an old speakeasy in the roaring 20's. It features a huge private King Suit with custom headboard. Attached is a walk-in closet with laundry and on- suite bath with a large two- person jacuzzi tub with rain shower. The main living area is an open concept kitchen and living room with a guest bath which includes an old cast iron tub. We have tried to keep many of the originals features of this space while providing modern comforts. Please note that the loft is up two flights of stairs.

My husband and I loved exploring historical Vicksburg. We enjoyed staying at this speakeasy. We loved the old wood floors and exposed brick. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This historic apartment loft was a dream for us. We chose to visit Vicksburg for the history and what better why to experience that than to stay in a 1800’s loft. The floors look to be original with a story to tell. We were very comfortable, soft bed, with modern appliances and places that count, the bathroom!😊 we met our host who is very friendly and recommended wonderful places to eat. I highly suggest you stay here!

Very unique place!
Needed a halfway point on our trip home from Florida, great place to stay and chill. Rooftop bar across the street was awesome as well. Loved the exposed brick and ceilings.

A Loft With Character
What a unique place to stay when you're in the "Old South". We had a few good restaurants within walking distance but couldn't go anywhere but the Italian place three minutes up the street.

Fantastic Location
This loft was so beautifully renovated and unique. It’s walking distance to some of the best rated restaurants and many of the museums in the historic district and only 8 min to the NPS Military Park. I stayed with my young son and there was also a fabulous playground within walking distance. Staying here was the perfect addition to the sites we planned to see in Vicksburg. I highly this loft recommend if you appreciate unique places to stay.

Charming inside. Host was great! Stairs were steeper than we cared for and a little too rustic for our taste. They did advise they tried to keep as much of the original feel of the building as possible. Some very cool old features inside, just too much for us.

What a cool place to stay. The apartment itself is spacious and clean. The history of the place is everywhere—the wide wood floors, exposed brick, floor to ceiling windows with gorgeous views of the water. Walking distance to all the restaurants, also coffee shops, and museums. Great communication with host, easy parking. I could live here!
