We stayed at this location because it was close to a wrestling event we attended.
When we walked in the front door, the lobby was blazing hot. It was a very hot day in Socorro, New Mexico. It was over 100°.
We had reserved a family suite. Our suite was up the stairs. We had lots of sports gear to take up and there is no elevator to get you to that floor.
Once we finally got all of our gear upstairs, we opened the door, which does not open all the way, making it incredibly difficult to get larger suitcases in the room. Once gear and suitcases were pulled through the door, you had to pull it down the hallway, stack the hallway close the door and distribute to the other room. Very awkward.
The air conditioners were not on in the suite. It was over 100° in the room when we got there. We turned on the air conditioners, and it cooled down within an hour. The air conditioning units were very loud.
The living area air conditioner worked much better than the air conditioner in the bedroom. The bedroom area did not cool off to a comfortable temperature until the following.
The bathroom door did not close without forcibly, pushing it over a hump under the tile.
The refrigerator was not terribly cold, but it did keep beverages cool.
The rooms were clean. The small pool was packed with little kids. They look like they’re having fun. Once they departed, the pool area was wrecked. Band-Aids, in the pool and food remnants everywhere. The staff had a great job cleaning up that area.
