“The inn is a great spot on the water and walkable to anything you would want to do, see, or need in Manteo. Definitely make time to eat in the 1587 lounge. Great service and food..... that is saying a lot for us because we normally are biased to cooking ourselves and very rarely find restaurants impressive or worth returning to. Our meal here was both. The staff was friendly and informative. Check in and out was easy with texted instructions. Room was clean and had everything you migjt n3ed for……

“Loved this property in the heart of Manteo!! We spent a lot of time walking which is exactly what we wanted for a weekend getaway. Very charming and when it rained the breezeway was a cozy alternative to umbrellas! We enjoyed this place very much, highly recommend!!”

“The property was clean and spacious. The only things we didn’t like was the AC, lack of cable tv (news channels), and windows on the front door. The AC didn’t go below 68 and reset to a higher temperature after we went to bed. I had to get out of bed in the middle of the night and turn it down again. For the TV, you need to use your personal login for a streaming service. My husband wasn’t happy that he couldn’t watch the news before bed. The only other thing we didn’t like is that there are……

“So it’s an older place. The stove needed updating (room 5 had a 1970 something stove that the burners barely worked on unless on high, which then set the smoke detector off. Also the oven would never heat up to use!) The beds are only full sized double beds and aren’t that comfortable. The rooms were very clean though. Room 9 was very nice but it was not an efficiency. It had a nice balcony and the best ocean view for the second floor. The hotel is smoke free but my neighbors smoked a bunch of……
