"Friendly staff, very convenient location, all (bed linen, towel, ...) very clean, 50m from Cairns big shopping centre with major supermarkets, department store. The communal kitchen is very well organised, clean. Secure car parking for $5 a day. Negative things are the free wifi is only up to 5Mbps during off-peak but very slow and just enough to check email at night (peak-hours), power points should be close to the bed or the floor or the very small table in the room, if your phone charging...

"The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience. We were even picked up from the ferry terminal when public buses were not running due to flooding. Dinner in the upstairs dining area was a great opportunity to meet fellow guests/travellers"

"Stayed in a private triple room, room was fine, quite spacious! It was tidy and clean, though the bathroom kind of reminded me of a public bathroom (it was private though!). Only stayed one night and didn't use the kitchen so cannot comment on that, though it looked quite packed when we went in to grab some water. There were a lot of people staying here so it looks to be a social place but luckily it wasn't too loud around the rooms. The only thing was that it smelled a little bit of smoke...
