"Booked this spot day before on a whim. Was nervous considering it was the cheapest spot we stayed at on our trip to Japan, but it was great! Wife is still raving about the onsen. They have a sauna, cold plunge and warm and hot tub in public bath. Breakfast was fantastic. Service, top notch. Being familiar with Kyoto I liked the location a lot. Quieter, but literally connected to the train station for easy access to Kyoto station and beyond. It’s not right in the action of Kyoto (Gion district area) though, probably 20-25 min train or 15 min taxi. "

"Its a short walk from the Midosuji whach and get you to and from most places in the city. Staff where kind, rooms where clean and the area atound the property has some interesting stuff to look at as well. "
