I’ve stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and it was always a little gem. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and I felt at home. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was a big letdown.
Hotel Facility:
Albeit the rooms are nice, the outdoor furniture, which used to be a highlight, has clearly been neglected. The chairs and tables in the common areas were worn out, faded, and in poor condition for a Hilton property. It was surprising to see this level of neglect, especially considering how well-maintained everything used to be. The indoor facilities also felt a bit dated, and the upkeep just wasn’t there this time.
Restaurant:
The restaurant was another disappointment. It used to be managed by the owner of the Byblos restaurant in Miami. The food quality has dropped significantly, and the menu seemed uninspired. I remember dining here with pleasure during previous visits, but this time it was underwhelming at best. The bar used to be inviting with a great atmosphere but this is all gone. The service is still friendly but everything else is just terrible. Not what you’d expect from a Hilton brand.
It’s really unfortunate because I used to love this place. I’m hoping this is just a temporary decline and they’ll address these issues soon. For now, though, I’ll be looking elsewhere for my next stay.
