“The hotel was fine - the bed was a bit too hard and also too low for our liking. The Marco’s restaurant was a complete let down - but I’ve done a separate review for that! We booked the hotel with 24 hour room service - this was not available after 8:45pm - we also booked the hotel with daily housekeeping - this did not happen - our bed was unmade and we had to phone reception for fresh towels and extra refreshments - all very disappointing given that we paid extra for the executive room and……

“This is a very old pub so to be expected that floors are somewhat uneven, took a bit of time to get used to this. Room was at front of building,had a large, comfortable bed and nice clean bathroom. Sadly our stay was spoilt by other guests on Saturday night making lots of noise till the early hours. Breakfast was excellent with good choices, particularly catering for gluten free diet. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. ”
