「The Great Lake Hotel lies way up on the central plateau and hence is a great place to explore this alpine wilderness. If you like trout fishing there is ample choice. Regarding the Hotel, rooms are very comfortable, staff are so friendly, restaurant is good and the wallabies are a delight in the evening. This is a great place to relax for a few days.」

「Beautifully appointed property with generous host and A1 facilities. May have been our fault but we were there to fish for trout and found it hard to get info - wish we had been advised to hire a boat on day one. Maybe a few brochures etc could be provided. Really enjoyed the warmth of the property and the peace and quiet.」

「When we arrived at Blue Lake Lodge no one was there and the place was all locked up. Tried to phone the lodge but rang out to a full answering machine. So clearly something wrong with their booking system. 」
