We arriverd at 2:50 pm and we were told check in was not until 3 pm. We said "No problem, we'll check emails for 10 minutes." About 10 minutes later we were told it would be another 15 minutes. We had traveled all day, we were hungry, and we had someplace to be, we'd lugged a bunch of luggage inside in the cold, and needed to change. The front desk attendant offered to let us change and leave our bags in a meeting room (credit for trying), but I was not comfortable with that. (I had a valuable computer I didn't want to leave and we were going to be out for hours.) The room was great, but I have never had to wait to check into a hotel and I wasn't thirlled about waiting around for nothing and having to carry everything back out in the cold.
