We signed up for this not really knowing what all to expect, but we were met with a very friendly teacher, Ali, who helped us out and allowed us all the time needed to complete our lamps. We were never rushed or expected to leave at a certain time. One thing I really loved about this class was that there wasn't one set start time for everyone. We all came in at different points, allowing him the time needed to provide personal attention to everyone.

Instructor was late and did not have the key! Note that one must descend a narrow staircase to get to the basement workshop. Nice variety of cut glass pieces and beads to form the mosaic design. Spacious workshop, could easily hold 50 people Participants were quickly accommodated as they arrived Depending on how intricate you want your lamp to be, this can take much less than two hours - I was done in about 30 minutes

My wife and I took advantage of booking two workshops in one day at this venue and David looked after us for the majority of the day for our lamp making (we had to leave for the Turkish coffee workshop and come back after to finish our lamps!). We were seated downstairs in a beautifully decorated workshop with very well equipped benches. David was brilliant with everyone throughout - really patient, calm and encouraging. His instructions were clear and easy to follow, and it resulted in truly wonderful mementoes that my wife and I can scarcely believe we created! When David's shift finishes, he handed over to his colleague Hamed (I hope I got the spelling correct!) who took over with equally enthusiastic and supportive supervision. The vibe is so wholesome and encouraging that everyone gets chatting and starts to connect. We met some incredible people on the day and everyone finished with fantastic colourful lamps. P.S. Make sure to ask about the rechargeable and/or battery-powered lamp bases before you choose your lamp size and get started!
