Bellagio was beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Although it was nice to be a passenger princess and not think about the logistics of the day, the bus ride was crap. The road from Bellagio to Como is barely equipped for a bus, we held traffic up on a tiny narrow bridge and the got stuck in afternoon traffic getting to Como. A 1.5hr bus ride took more like 2.5hrs. There was no toilet or water facilities on the bus. Given we were late arriving to Como we only have less than an hour to explore, which was just enough time to guzzle a heap of water and go to the toilet before another 1hr+ journey back to Milan. The communication during the delayed bus ride was poor and it turned in to a 12+hr round trip. I would just catch the train and explore the area myself next time!

I loved the bus ride down - seeing Lake Como as we drove was gorgeous. Loved our boat ride on the lake - beautiful.. Loved our guide and our bus driver was excellent. Bellagio was beautiful to see but the only activities were to eat and shop and due to the crowds, the time there was too long. Waiting for the boat taxi and that ride was boiling hot and tiring. Our short stop in Como was fun and the right amount of time.

My wife and I enjoyed this tour. Such a wonderful day. For us - tIme well spent. Our tour guide Lina was so knowledgeable. Although the bus trip around the lake after our visit to Bellagio was scenic and relaxing, we would have opted for more time in Como and seeing a few more of Milan's architectural wonders since our guide was so knowledgeable. Our guide, Alessio, along with our talented coach bus driver, made us feel so comfortable. Alessio pointed out details and taught us so much but delivered the information in a way that made it easy to understand. He also pointed out where to eat lunch to avoid the tourist traps and thanks to him our lunch was delicious but fair-priced! The Lake Como boat tour was a special treat - so many spectacular views and Alessio pointed out many villas that were the setting of various movies and series. He also gave us helpful advance notice about when and where we would be able to use the toilet - super helpful.

Lake Como and Bellagio are great, but trip was disorganized (nobody to guide us when starting, waited half hour to get on bus, etc.). It was not as promised (tour was with a very large group of mixed speaking people-we had the English tour, but it was mixed with the Spanish and Italian speaking tour). Then the schedule was changed to a shorter visit in Bellagio to take a ferry boat to another town for boarding the bus (I assume due to traffic restrictions), and then take for a walking tour of Como, which is not interesting. Price was good for an 11-hour trip. I would have taken a tour of Finger Lakes or One Thousand Islands instead.

Lake Como is absolutely a must-see with breathtaking and unique scenery. It's just as magical as all the photos show. Our guide was very fun and knew his history quite well. The day is much more busy than I expected travel wise. The pick up points on the lake are very far apart and you will be using a water taxi to make a rendez-vous. But it's well organized and it is a lovely way to see that much more of the lake. Como is beautiful but there's hardly any time there so it's just a small convenience stop (depending on traffic/travel times that is). Overall it's well worth the trip and full day of moving around.
