Pine Grove Cottage - Visit Monticello, Charlottesville & Many Local Wineries

The Pine Grove Cottage is surrounded by woods in its rural location, but is just 3 miles from the Zion Crossroads Interstate 64 exit and all the retail and restaurants at that interchange. It is 22 minutes from Monticello, and there are over a dozen wineries within a 30 minute drive.

The cottage was thoroughly renovated and luxuriously furnished in mid-2020. If it looks professionally decorated, that's because it is. Everything is brand-spanking new, and beautiful.

The cottage can accommodate seven people if you include the sleeper sofa in the living room. The mattresses in the bedrooms are all Temperpaedic type mattresses, very comfortable.

You will love the patio with its gas grill and fire pit. Also, there is a 1/2 mile trail beside Oliver Creek - great for walking the dog or the kids.

Charlottesville stay
My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights and this time. The mattresses are terrible. They feel like just a piece of foam, that you sink into. We could not sleep in the master bedroom. We actually slept on the bunkbeds.

Better than a hotel!
We loved our two week stay! The bed was comfy and the entire house had a cozy feel to it. The kitchen was well stocked. Our grandsons spent one night with us and they loved the bunk beds. We loved the location because it was only a couple of miles from our son’s house.

Mother’s Day getaway
My husband, mom, and 2 year old daughter enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for my daughter to play inside and out. Perfect Accommodations
Traveling with pets and children can be a challenge but this property was perfect for our family! Plenty of play room for the puppies and the size of the home was exactly what we needed. Super close to Charlottesville but secluded enough to feel like you are in the mountains. Absolutely loved our stay and look forward to visiting again!

Pond House at WolfTrap farm
We actually stayed at the Pond House at Wolf Trap farm- owned but the same individuals due to a double booking of our last day. We enjoyed the other property even though further from Charlottesville. It was a beautiful area.
