"First off, being right across the street from the station is a big plus in the dead of winter. This is a relatively small hotel with smallish rooms, but very capable overall. Nice little touches like nice pajamas and slippers, an onsen that is free to use, two massage chairs, free ice cream treats all day, and free late night soba. Service is also very good. Highly recommended."

"The property and surrounding areas were beautiful covered in snow during our Winter visit. The hotel provided boots so we could easily get around in the snow. The man who was at the front desk during our stay was knowledgeable of the area and kind. We had two rooms and both were clean and comfortable throughout our stay. "

Glad we did as room was still compact but did what we needed for two nights. We were able to send a couple of our bags onto the next hotel using Black Cat. "The front desk staff was super helpful. The free breakfast buffet was very good - as was the dinner at the hotel restaurant. We went during ski season and there is not much else by way of restaurants in the area besides at other hotels or on the slopes so I'd recommend making a reservation at the hotel restaurant for your nights there. You can mix it up and do the chef's course menu one night and stick with the regular menu the next. Note: You cannot just walk in, they require a reservation....

Private onsen in our own room was perfect for us as we have tattoes, but the staff said if your tattoo is for fashion purpose only, it'll be ok - just let them know in advance.
