"Wonderful experience staying a Standbrook Abbey. Great to see around the historic features of the hotel. The room upgrade was massive with 4 poster bed and roll-top bath as well as a 2 person shower. Had afternoon tea as well as an evening meal and really enjoyed both. Will definitely return if in the area."

"A lovely place! Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a tasteful decor and pleasant ambience. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was excellent. Close to the station and just a short walk from the town centre, the location could hardly be better. Highly recommended on all points!"

"What a lovely quiet area with lots of walks but close to towns and villages with things to do and see. The grounds were well looked after and usable by our dog as was a good part of the restaurant. The 2 crowning glories though were: the food which was of a high standard being well cooked and presented and the staff who were really welcoming and friendly throughout, knowlegeable about the food on offer and well paced with the ordering and delivery of the food. "

"The lodge was very well equipped, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus and main reason for booking this particular lodge, which meant we could truly relax and enjoy our stay at The Baiting House. The Baiting House staff were welcoming and polite. We didn't eat at the pub/restaurant during our stay this time but did enjoy a drink in the bar. Thank you. We will be returning. "
