"We arrived at a lovely warm house. Place was spacious and cozy. Sadly, we found that there had been mice in our beds and a number of the beds had been soiled with mouse excrement. A family of mice were present in the kitchen area and had left their mark in drawers, cupboards and a couch. Put a dampener on the stay and we were not able to have this issue resolved with clean bedding. Just an offer of some mouse bait to place around the property."

"I loved staying at Come By Chance the location was perfect for the whole family, a short walk to the beginner's ski slope and toboggan run, as well as pubs and supermarket. "The newly constructed River Barn is a great spot with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. You can wander down along the river which is part of the property, our little dog had a great time exploring. The listing on Stayz was unfortunately misleading, stating a travel time of 53min to Mt Hotham whereas the road is actually closed in winter so it's 3+ hours which scuttled our snowboarding plans. The driveway is a bit dicey - if you have a car with low clearance you might struggle....

Appreciated the provision for 'all abilities':spacious safe access bathroom and ramps back and front . The modern appliances enabled a 'cruisy' family life . The location was ideal for both privacy and looking out to the mountains . So many great places to visit nearby. We had a great stay and hope to come back soon."
