「I was staying as my wife was in hospital so my criteria for finding a place to stay were cheap, available and close to the hospital, the Silverton Inn was all these so I booked it. I'm really glad I did, admittedly I wasn't really in the mood for socialising but if I was, there would have been ample opportunity but I was feeling pretty insular and that was ok too, all the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was easy to find, the rooms had everything you need. I ended up staying 2 nights...

「A charming little B&B above a biker cafe. Comfortable rooms with all the facilities you need. The owners and cafe staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make the stay as fantastic as possible. A great place to use as a base from which to explore Devon. We will e returning.」

「Hotel is in beautiful setting with stunning views. There are a couple of lounges where you can relax looking at the stunning scenery. There is an honesty bar you can help yourself to drinks & nibbles at a reasonable cost. Breakfast was fantastic and very delicious with locally sourced produce and they cater for coeliacs. 「Was greeted by owner on arrival and led to my room, very hospital and partner too, who went out their way to personally call me and confirm location of accommodation so i did not get lost. 「I absolutly love the lodges. This was our 2nd year of staying at the Mole. My daughter particularly loves the hot tub. There is plenty of space to walk our dog too and an enclosed area where she can go off lead. Although this year there were a few disappointments. We were not left a doggie goodie bag, even though we had paid for our dog to stay. There were no robes in our lodge which are particularly useful when getting out the hot tub, so we struggled with drying towels for showers and hot tub...

"Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay "

Comfortable hotel

"Stayed here for 3 nights on this trip. A very comfortable stay with exceptional service. The air conditioner in the room stopped functioning, but the staff quickly took care of the matter as soon as we reported it and compensated us with many free drink vouchers; the manager got soaked in the process of fixing the air conditioning but continued to apologise to us for the inconvenience. The staff are very welcoming, and the environment is very relaxing. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Exeter. Special thanks to the hotel manager and one of the hotel staff members for swiftly taking care of the air conditioner issue; despite ending up being wet in the process you both have handled the issue with grace and kindness."
