This place is definitely a BUDGET rental... You don't quite get what you pay for. It's an old house that has had some nice amenities slapped on to try to make it appealing... kinda like 'lipstick on a pig.' It's just that those niceties wear off because of all the nickel-n'dime shortcuts the landlord takes. It's on a somewhat busy corner intersection, with plenty of traffic noise for all those of you from Toronto/Manhattan, you'll love it! The landlord put in all nice, new appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, washer/dryer), but didn't replace the 2-bit coffeemaker which was broken. There are TVs in each room with some kikin' wifi, no cable/antenna. I think the laminate wood floors are new'ish. Thank goodness the heater worked good because he doesn't give you any sheets or blankets, just a thin mattress cover (100% cotton, as advertised!) and a flimsy duvet. We didn’t sleep much anyway as the mattresses were the hard, foam/bamboo type and were not well-liked by any of us. The 5 towels provided were indeed large enough to dry 1/2 our body after a shower... too bad there were 7 of us staying there! Soap and shampoo dispensers were all broken/empty. Yes, we did write the owner immediately on check-in, but we still haven't heard back from him after our 4 nite stay. If you would all like to eat and drink at the same time, bring your own cutlery and glasses... not enough of those either. Good news is, we survived! ...just wish we picked a little better place.
