I know I sound like a grumpy old person, but why did we have to deal with a second rental management company who flooded us with 4 texts from 4 different phone numbers, and 8 emails, with conflicting information on what we had to do to check in. At first we thought it was a scam, then it took several phone calls and waiting on hold to sort out.
The condo had a very minimal view of the ocean, and, while the rooms were large, they were minimally furnished and were missing basics, like luggage racks or somewhere to open our suitcases, front hall mat, colander in the kitchen, etc. There were umpteen electronic appliances, many of which did not work, or needed new batteries. There was no general description of how the heat worked - a thermostat controlled only the electric heater in its room, so it took almost 12 hours for the place to heat up to a comfort level.
