New! Secluded mountain home on over 10 wooded acres, modern and pet friendly!

Welcome to your piece of paradise! Located on over 10 wooded acres near the Grand Canyon of PA, the old town charm of Wellsboro, and hiking right outside your door on your private property or in local parks and forests. There is also amazing star gazing, stream and lake fishing, rafting and kayaking, hunting, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and antiquing in the surrounding small towns. Bring your bikes, ATVs or UTVs and enjoy miles of uncrowded gravel roads. The home is very secluded with no loud road noise or neighbors nearby. We are centrally located between Wellsboro, Gaines and Westfield giving you easy access to great dining, shopping and small-town charm.

You may feel far from the city but you will have all of the modern comforts you are accustomed to including: High speed Wi-Fi, internet TVs in living room and bedrooms, heating and air conditioning, full kitchen, washer and dryer, land line phone, comfortable new furniture (reclining chair and loveseat) and beds, firepit with Adirondack chairs. In one bedroom there is a king bed, in the second bedroom there is one queen and a bunk bed, and in the living room is a pullout queen size sofa bed.

Without leaving the property, you can hike the 10 acres of wilderness to the seasonal creek bed. Make s’mores by the firepit while star gazing from some of the darkest skies on the east coast. Walk or ride on the private roads in the area. Located 2,150 feet above sea level and surrounded by serene trees, even on the hottest days in the cities, it stays cool at the home. At this altitude we also have beautiful mountain laurel in late June through July. If you like to play in the snow, being in north central PA we also get a good amount of the white stuff, and it stays on the ground for a while. There is even a snowmobile club about 15 minutes away.

There are activities for every season!

Centrally located near:
PA Grand Canyon (Colton Point State Park and Leonard Harrison State Park)
Pine Creek Trail Darling Run parking area (Biking, hiking, and fishing)
Pine Creek Outfitters (Rafting, Kayaking, canoeing, and many other services)
Historic Wellsboro
Cherry Springs State Park (Dark Sky Park)
Coudersport Ice Mine
Tyoga Golf Course
Beechwood Lake (Trout fishing, kayaking, and canoeing)
Tioga State Forest
Coudersport, PA
Potter County

The roads to the home are well maintained; however, they are only plowed after we receive about 3 inches of snow, so the road may get slippery, a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended in the winter.

Pets are welcome and there is a $50 flat pet fee per stay. Please ensure this fee is paid in the reservation (Check the box that says, "I am traveling with pets".

Great place
When I booked, I didn't realize it was so far off the main road, only a few miles but a 15-minute drive. Very nice house, and comfortable bed king bed!

Peacefully secluded
After a lonng trip out the (well maintained) dirt road, we found the house. Fully updated, very clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely stay. No traffic sounds or street lights. It was wonderful and exactly what we were looking for. Thank you.

Beautiful, serene and relaxing
This is our 2nd stay here and it’s amazing. The owner is very responsive and accommodating, we had my brother in-law come at the last minute and there was absolutely no problems with an extra person staying. Plenty of room for all. We ride motorcycles and it’s very close to the BDR. Cannot wait to go back

An Amazing Place
I took my daughter, her friend and my son here. We were all very impressed with the beautiful home and stunning property. I read in one review that there were no spices and no foil or plastic sealabe bags. There are both. A new carousel of organic spices were supplied. That was a very nice touch. There are so many places to walk trails about 25 min away. The fire pit in the back was a very nice touch. Wood can be found at road side stands. These are available 24 hrs, just make sure you have cash. We will most definalty be staying again. Thank you Mr. Williams!

Perfect all the way around
Paradise in the mountains, sums it up. We love the area and frequent as much as we can throughout the year. We were lucky enough to find this beautiful home close to off roading trails and hiking trails. We have already booked our second stay and hope to enjoy many more here.

Overall we really liked the property. It gave us the quiet and privacy we were looking for. Beautiful sunrise in the morning. The only downside was although the kitchen was very well stocked with equipment, there were no spices(except salt and pepper) and no baggies, foil etc which made storing leftovers a challenge. Future renters should also be aware that the washer/dryer are in the closet of the second bedroom so there is no closet space for clothes.

Best long weekend
My husband and I try to take a long weekend for ourselves in March or April. We have stayed in this area a couple times before but this was the best long weekend we had even despite the weather. The house was clean, beautiful, and very comfortable. My husband and I will definitely come back!

Mountain getaway
We had an awesome time staying at this very remote cabin. Everything was very clean and well thought out. Plan on limiting your drives to town, 15 minute drive just to get onto an asphalt roadway then at least another 15 minutes depending which town. Enjoyed the remoteness.

Secluded getaway
We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It was very well appointed with comfortable furniture and the king size bed was an added bonus. The mountain neighborhood was quiet and beautiful, as was Wellsboro and the PA Grand Canyon. We could not have asked for more and hope to return.

Wonderful secluded getaway!
This house is very clean and everything is brand new! Loved that there was a great variety of K-cups so we didn’t need to use our own coffee. Dogs had a great time running in the yard! View of the stars at night was breathtaking! We would love to visit again!

Enjoyable getaway to the woods
The home was excellent. All items needed for a stay were required. The home was tastefully decorated, and even an adorable welcome set up. The binder supplied with ideas for the area was an excellent addition. The home is definitely a quiet and “off the beaten” path getaway. I will be staying again when I come to the area- and recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet adventure in the woods.

Quiet retreat close to PA Grand Canyon
Nestled in a wooded community, we liked the ease of walking our dogs right outside the front door. Amazing porch and comfortable arrangement, we appreciated the king sized bed which is unusual, in our experience. House was perfectly situated for us to visit Wellsboro and PA Grand Canyon. Host was very responsive.
