"This is an aging property from a time when cavernous indoor spaces could be heated. I can't imagine what their energy bill is when it's -10F as it was when I stayed there. The place is a little beat up, but was perfectly adequate for my purposes, and the staff was very friendly and competent. I was able to walk to a variety of very good restaurants. Rooms on the north side have quite a bit of traffic noise from I-94; rooms on the south side were very quiet. "

"Not a bad stay if you are just sleeping there. Close to a lot of different places, like shopping and the university. Bathtub did not drain. Walls were paper thin, I heard everything in the room next to me and the room above. Breakfast was being put away 30mins early. Pretty cheap compared to other places. "

"I loved the spacious rooms and the kitchen area in each room. I also loved the fact that they had great dining options in the breakfast buffet. Housekeeping may need to pay a little bit more attention to detail ...there was a used towel in our room, the glasses didn't look like they were clean... there was a lip stain on two of them. There was hair on the sheets. "
