There is a lot to like about this getaway in the heart of Washington D.C. First, it's important to note that the property is just as described and the pictures represent the space well. We started the visit with 4 adults, before our daughter returned to college after the first weekend. I think the space was a little cramped for 4, but was perfect for the three of us. We generally made breakfast in the house, and there was a good set of provisions for cooking. That is you would definitely be able to make complete meals.
The neighborhood is great. We stopped and talked to a few people walking dogs or kids. It was very nice, and had really great restaurants right around the corner. Make sure to get reservations for the Red Hen and check out Etabli for wine and light tapas-style small plates. We also did a lot of walking, including down to the Smithsonian museums. It was a bit of a walk, but easy to find our way.
Overall, we really loved our week spent at this property, and would definitely return if we were back in the DC area.
