Stay in Waldstatt
We enjoyed our stay in Waldstatt. The house was in a nice location for us to travel to various places in the region. We do wish there had been a charcoal or gas grill and a dryer. The kitchen was very nice and very well stocked will all the items we needed. The children enjoyed the bunk beds.

Great Location; Comfortable house.
Excellent hiking and walking opportunities through beautiful countryside. Short walk to a beautiful swimming pool. Easy walk to train or bus. Plenty of shopping opportunities in Waldstatt, Herisau or St. Gallen. We hope to be able to visit again.

A very typical situation that we see in our global travels. Absentee owner,….unwilling/unable to receive feedback about the property and take action to improve. Ultimately we became insulted. Cannot recommend.

Warm and wonderful
We came from Florida so having a nice warm home was very important to us. We also had warm communications with the owner although he is not in the community. He had friends nearby helping us as needed. Looking forward to coming back!

Beware of garbage disposal that falls on you, as there in no garbage collection service in Waldstatt
It was a very quiet and nice place. We had trouble understanding where and how to dispose of the garbage. The instructions about this were only in German and we were not accustomed to the habits of Switzerland. Next time we will know!

Nice house
The house was in a great location. The owner was very responsive. When we first got there, the garage was not unlocked but he quickly had someone come and remedy the situation. The house is basic and clean. The washing machine was an added bonus. Since we are Americans, it would be nice to have some explanation of some of the appliances in English. It also was quite warm and a few fans would have made the experience more comfortable

Very comfortable home, especially the kitchen. You can get essentials within walking distance, making cooking meals a breeze. Lot’s of things to do, it is 5 minutes to the train station! Awesome place😀 Chris

A great place to explore a beautiful part of Switzerland
We had a great time at Matthias' property. Matthias was extremely helpful beforehand in terms of instructions and details about the property. The house is in a great location and is very comfortable, with just the right furnishings and equipment. We used it as a base for exploring a truly beautiful part of Switzerland as well as the nearby town of St Gallen. It was very easy to do a number of good walks from the house itself.

A lovely place to stay in Appenzell
The location was great, it was quiet at night and within reach of many attractions in the area and beyond. The house is well-equipped, clean and very comfortable. Shops for basic needs are within walking distance in the township and the views worthy of postcards!! We truly enjoyed our time there and would use it again when the opportunity presented. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung
Wir haben alles wie im Inserat beschrieben vorgefunden. Das Haus liegt am Ende einer Anliegerstraße, kein Durchgangsverkehr o. ä. Jetzt im Winter konnten unsere Kinder direkt am Haus Schlitten fahren. Die Umgebung spricht für sich. Herr Krieg war ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber und bei Fragen stets erreichbar.

Mooi groot huis makkelijke inchecken misschien niet super de luxe maar wel over kompleet je kan het niet bedenken en het is er. Goed lokatie veel bezienswaardigheden in minder dan 30 minuten met de auto. Anders is het treinstation met als de bakker en super op loop afstand

Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Belangrijk voor mijn tieners ; de Wifi werkt perfect! Boodschappen doen in Herisau op minder dan 10 minuten rijden. Goede uitvalsbasis om leuke dingen te doen in de omgeving.Voor ons is dit huis een aanrader....
