Waianae Beach Hotel

"The apartment was lovely, nice finishes.The view was spectacular, right on a nice beach but a steep shore break that was challenging to swim. The disappointment was the neighborhood, which is rather shabby with an astounding number of homeless. Not a lovely place for a vacation."

"Everyone was fine except we never received check-in instructions 24 hours in advance as promised by hotels.com. We called hotels.com and they were completely useless and we called the hotel front desk but it was closed. "We had a great stay! The property was very nice, well maintained, very clean, easy to get to and driveway parking. The property manager was easy to connect with for questions. The location was a little further from Honolulu, so a rental car was a must. But for touring the island, we had a rental car anyways. Food, groceries and gas station very close by. We could hear and see the beach from the balcony. Price for 9 people was very reasonable. Great experience!!"

"I’m so happy I cancelled my room at the Hilton and stayed at this beach house. After daily outings to the cities/tourist areas, it was really nice to be “home” and away from it all. I’m not a crowd/city person, so I was happy to have my own kitchen, make my own food and not have to wait in crowded lines for my coffee and meals. I also go stir crazy if I’m cooped up in a small spaces, so to be able to walk outside and have my own private beach whenever I wanted, was more than I could’ve asked...

"When I arrived late the condo room I was stay was dirty. I had to clean it up with little cleaning supplies that was left behind and change the bedsheets. I did get my cleaning fee back so that was nice. Other than that I had a great stay in at the property."

"This is a small, clean, easy accessible studio but really is just set up to be a place to shower & rest. There is no TV so if you're like me & want to watch something to wind down at the end of the day you'll have to use your own phone, iPad, laptop, etc. The host is very kind & friendly & lets you say hi to the dogs if you'd like (which who doesn't love dogs?!). The host let us borrow beach gear & offered surf lessons! My boyfriend took the lessons while I relaxed on the beach & we both enjoyed...

We knew this when we chose it, and we based our itinerary on the north side of the island, and then we rented another place to visit the Waikīkī area and the city center, which is quite far from this one.
