"Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."

"Chiara is an exceptional host, easy to contact and had lots of great tips on where to go. You do need a car to visit all the wonderful towns and beaches nearby. I wish we had stayed longer as we couldn’t fit everything into one week. We particularly liked Noto, Ragusa and Marina Di Ragusa for the beach. The nearest town Sciciliis a fantastic place to eat in the evening as it is only a 12 minute drive and has so many good restaurants. The pool is really a plunge pool but good enough for cooling...

"We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful house, Kaethe the owner and her son are such lovely and helpful, make you feel comfortable straight away. The house was very clean and equipped with everything you need.We had our little Yorkshire and didn't stop running in the garden, outside area is massive and very safe as the gate is all close so my dog couldn't run away. "Only one item to be aware of, the charge for electricity will be at least €150 per week. I assume that this was because the filtration on the swimming pool was running perhaps 18 hours a day. We visited in mid-September and only used the air conditioning for a couple of hours a day for less than half of our stay, so that wasn’t the issue. Not a complaint, the property is outstanding value for money, just something to factor in."

"Great ambience. Property was excellent and exceptionally clean. Rooms were impeccable with natural (no chemical smells) fragrances. Service was excellent at all times of the day and food was incredible. Pool was amazing to swim in however the only there were a lot of flies when using sunbathing recliners. Perhaps some fly traps would be useful to minimize this. "
