Virginias Bar Hotel

"Hotel was nice and most staff were kind, friendly, and helpful despite the large volume of people trying to check in at the same time ahead of a show at JPJ area. The exception was the valet. I saw him get into a verbal altercation with a pedestrian that he almost hit with someone else’s car. We also witnessed the valet drive like a maniac when out of view of the lobby area. "I’ve always enjoyed my stays at the hotel, Roanoke, but with the renovations taking place in the last couple of years, that hotel has vastly improved their rooms while maintaining the integrity of the period in which the hotel was built, and thrived. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and it is just a pleasure to hang around and Have a drink, dinner in the beautiful restaurant, and walk about the grounds, even in the middle of winter. "Our stay at the GW this time was pretty good. The hotel is a great stop on our travels and we look forward to it every time. This time, I opted for the Junior Suite since we had had a stressful trip thus far. The room itself was great, the bed was comfortable and the room service was timely.
