The rooms have clearly been updated to try and make the place nicer, but the outside is dirty, it smells like weed, and the people who are there as customers were noisy and several were rude to the staff and others in the area. The rooms are colder when you get in and the door opens right to the outside. It is loud from the outside. We were given a room on the 3rd floor and did not have neighbors, but there was some commotion when we checked out a few hours later. We did not stay the night, especially after reading more of the reviews and seeing what else was going on there. We were told we would have to be charged for the one night since we did go to the room, but that Expedia could call the hotel and we could be reimbursed for the 2nd night. Expedia was completely shut down by the hotel management (and I’m not surprised. They seem to need all the money they can get). Go down the road to any other hotel (Hampton, Holiday Inn, Wingate) and you’ll get a room for nearly the same price that is cleaner, the staff is nicer, and you can feel more secure.
