“The apartment was exactly as pictured with a gorgeous view of the lake! The area is private and quiet. Laura was so kind to us! She picked us up at the train station and took me grocery shopping. We did not rent a car and the apartment is about a mile from town. I would say you might want one if you want to be out late. The trail to town is rustic and not something you could do in the dark. It is very steep! The apartment was well equipped and we got groceries and made a lite dinner each……

“A fantastic welcome from Gabriella to her gorgeous and well appointed villa. The view from the terrace over Lake Maggiore was stunning. It is well worth getting up to witness the sun rise over the mountains on the opposite side of the lake. The villa was super comfortable, clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Stresa is a 20 minute walk down a sometimes rough, unmade path. The walk back climbs 100m, perfect for walking off those pasta calories. Just be aware that the Vrbo map shows the……

“Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was spotless and had everything you would need. Beautiful walk around lake area. Felt very safe. Lots of near by villages to explore. We took an unexpected trip to Domodossola which was well worth the 45 minute drive to see the foothills of the alps along the drive and the old historic city which had amazing charm.”
