I’ve stayed at Don Tomas several times and loved it—except for one recurring issue: the receptionist, Patricia. While the rest of the staff is exceptional, Patricia’s attitude is consistently rude.
On my recent stay in December, when the hotel was mostly empty, I booked an extra night and asked to keep the same room. She refused to help, saying she wasn’t “in the mood for English today,” even though she knew my Spanish is very limited and she’s capable of speaking English. This wasn’t an isolated incident, as she’s dismissed reasonable requests in the past.
It’s disappointing because I truly enjoy the property and other staff, but Patricia’s treatment made me feel so unwelcome that I left instead of staying the extra night. I’d love to return, but not if this continues.
