"The hotel was so clean and comfortable. We had everything that we needed and more. Every member of staff that we came across was really friendly and helpful. Our room was very large and we had a beautiful, huge, cloud-like bed. The pool was lovely and clean. The filtered bottles of water are a really lovely touch, along with the honeycombe on arrival. I have dietry requirements, which were catered to wonderfully for breakfast and when we ordered room service (which was yum!)"

"The Vanbrugh House is wonderfully located in the center of historic Oxford. Short walking distance to all the colleges, restaurants, bus station. A little longer but easy walk to train station. Cool historic building. Our family rented 3 rooms: 2 smaller ones and a larger "superior double". All were fine. The superior room was especially large, even by US standards (although the bathroom and shower were tiny). My only negative was that all the beds were pretty uncomfortable. Really hard...

"Lovely concept however couple of disappointing factors where that our heating was not working and the room was cold however they gave us a couple of portable heaters! Some of the furnishings where worst for ware, velvet was coming away. We was in room 9 and there was alot of outside noise and about 5am someone smashed glasses outside our room then could hear it being cleaned up then righjt behind our room must have been building work and could hear a drill about 8am and van doors slamming and...

"Amazing stay in a quiet little village about 20 minutes drive from Oxford, Burton on the water. 5 minute drive from Burford which is amazing and 5 minutes from Diddly Sqt. Farm and pub. The Swan pub opposite is so cosy. "
