"We’re a family of 6 with 4 teenage boys winding our way through AK for the first time. Valdez is our midway point and the historic house was perfect. It is quirky and quaint which adds appeal. We loved that we had a kitchen and space to spread out. The washer and dryer were put to great use and being able to walk everywhere was perfect! We rented bikes from the Fat Mermaid and tried out ice cream from a couple of the stands. Walking to Safeway was helpful in making meals and we just enjoyed being out and about and a couple of rest days in between a fishing charter. I highly recommend utilizing this house - the space and location is great!"

"Very outdated and unclean. No private bathroom. Breakfast hours are very early. No temperature control in the room and it was very hot. Overall a bed to sleep in but the kind your scared to touch the comforter on. "
