About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Modern cabin offering incredible views with fire pit, spa and hiking trails.

A countryside retreat. This cabin is on top of a hill offering glorious views of the Capertee Valley.
The valley is world renown for its bird-watching but this property is also a working farm so you can visit our cows, sheep, chickens or pick some fruit from the trees.
We have 420 acres for you to explore with creeks, mountain bike trails and direct access to the Wollemi National Park.
Our wildlife spotting includes wombats, kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas to name a few.

The cabin has its own deck and is right beside a large fire pit with an amazing view across the valley.
This location is the pick of the views on the entire property. Each window in the cabin offers stunning mountain views.

We are in a secluded location if you are looking for a peaceful stay.
The drive through the Capertee Valley to our property is spectacular.
The only sounds you will hear are chickens, sheep, cows and the bird life.

If you enjoy hiking then explore our 420 acres which is a mix of grazing land, creeks, bush tracks, swimming holes and rainforest like gullies. Our property borders Wollemi National Park and we have direct access to it.
The Glen Alice Trail & The Bicentennial Trail are hiking tracks that cross through our property.

'Cabins at The Nile' is our Facebook page if you wish to see further photos of our property.

If you enjoy swimming we have several sandy creeks, a pristine swimming hole and a heated swim spa that can accomodate large groups.

Feel free to pick the fruit that is in season from our trees. We have fig trees, lemons, persimmon, plums, pears and mulberries to name a few.

The fire pit right beside the cabin is very popular with our guests. There is a grill plate atop so you can cook dinner over the fire or enjoy watching the sunset colours on the cliffs. We offer firewood for your stay at a small cost or feel free to bring your own.
When the sun goes down the star gazing is spectacular.

We have an additional brand new cabin ready to rent. It is on another part of our property which is more secluded. Please message me if you are interested in staying in this other cabin.

Own a 4wd? You are welcome to drive around our property and take in all the tracks & views that have been created in the landscape.

Take a drive to the 'Paddock Cafe' which is about 20 minutes drive from our property to grab your breaky or lunch feed. They use local produce and sell a large variety of locally made products.

Have a larger group?
We can accomodate camping and caravans. If you wish to book the cabin and then have camp sites nearby also we have done that before for larger groups. We book our camp sites through Hipcamp.

If this cabin isn't available for your required dates then please message us as we have an additional brand new cabin on our property we can also offer you.

The perfect getaway in the middle of the most beautiful mountain ranges. Myself and my partner loved every minute of it. From the swimming holes, bush walks, the peace and quiet, Ziggy the dog and the spa bath.

What a great spot for an off grid weekender! The views from the tiny house are spectacular and the nearby mountains and walks are incredible. We highly recommend the Slot canyon walk and valley of the dinosaurs! Mandy is a great host, very obliging and helpful. The house was superbly appointed and incredibly clean and well furnished. The fire pit under the stars is next level. Thanks 🙂

A slice of paradise under the stars
What an incredible place to stay. Capertee Valley is a secret spot that not many people know about. It's worth the extra drive out the back of the Blue Mountains - as the scenery is beautiful and it really is off grid. Beautiful hikes, friendly host and a cosy cabin with everything you need for a few days recouperation. The spa and food cooked on the firepit are highlights. The photos don't do it justice - you need to see it to see the beauty of the spot.

Tidy cabin tucked away on a beautiful farm
Mandy and Jake's farm is such a beautiful place to spend a few days, with easy access to nearby trails. The cabin which sits on a hill is very clean and has all the amenities you would need to spend a few days away. Mandy and Jake were great hosts and made finding the place very easy as we were driving late at night and were unfamiliar with the area. Highly recommended!

Treasure of the Nile
Mandy was very communicative days before with helpful directions and information to guide to the cabin. If you want off the grid experience with admirable facilities and ambience - this is it. Recommend a 4WD in wetter seasons as the driveway to the cabin is steep and the terrain surrounding will challenge a smaller car. The cabin was perfect size for us and offered all the comforts of home while away from it. Hot showers, firepit dinner, ambient heated pool, views beyond belief and Netflix for binging. Kangaroos in the fields, cows chilling on the roads and trees for miles. Definitely for those who want to get away from it all - and reconnec5 when you want to because ,they still have WiFi. Loved it, widh it was longer, highly recommending. Thank you Mabdy and Family.

Great Off Grid getaway place
It has been the best holiday we've had for years. The cabin was very modern, clean and has everything you would need for your stay. All you need to pack is the food for your stay, and you can simply enjoy the views and the cabin has a nice little kitchenette with an induction cooktop, microwave and a kettle. It has exceptional views all around - you would love the view from the bed in the morning. Mandy and Jake were very welcoming and responsive to all you queries. Ziggy, their dog, is the friendliest dog guided us around the farm, looks after us against their cows! We will be definitely going back again.

What a wonderful weekend!
My partner and I love going away for long weekends. This was the best so far! Amazing location in the Upper Nile, part of Capertee Valley. A great tiny cabin perched on an escarpment above the farm property with spectacular ires through the canyon. Mandy and Jake were awesome hosts, and the eggs fresh from the chooks were delicious. Dinner cooked on and eaten by the fire pit was superb. We’ll definitely be back!

Great Escape with Warm Hosts
The location has stunning views in every direction. Facilities provided were modern, clean, and in perfect condition. The hosts Mandy and Jacob are some of the friendliest people to come across. Their dog, Ziggy is the cutest. I recommend taking some good meat with you and good hiking gear for some great walks around the location. The kitchen had enough equipment to cook some good meals with the electric stove a handy companion. Firewood is available onsite.

Amazing scenic stay, breathtaking
We originally booked for 2 nights but extended to 3 because it was so peaceful, stunning and amazing. The large warm water jacuzzi was a nice surprise! Especially swimming at night under the stays (it's abit hidden, down the hill in front of the home). The firepit allowed us to have great bbqs and the owners were so nice and accommodating! We ended up having drinks with them on the last night by the fireplace. Bring enough food for the stay because it's quite isolated. The views were breathtaking and different to other tiny homes, for the price we paid it was great value. I have already recommended this home to friends and family and we will coming back for sure! PS. Their dog Rizzy was a cute friend that kept us company the whole stay, a great tour guide amongst the farm.
