Gorgeous spot and views!
We stayed at this house for a week over Christmas to get some sun and enjoy extended family who also live in the Ventana area. The location was perfect for us as close to our family, but it is a little far from the main roads (you have to drive through the resort neighborhood and then exit/enter through the gatehouse every time). The house is high up - the views are incredible! As an early riser, I enjoyed coffee at sunrise and watching the city below slowly light up. Sunset was even more spectacular. To get up to the house, you do have to drive up a very steep, curvy driveway. This was a bit nerve-racking for some of our family who don't like heights.The house was great for us. The interior is slightly dated but very clean and functional. The kitchen had everything we needed - was quite well stocked- but is slightly small for a large group if you were planning on doing a lot of cooking. Overall, we would stay there again (and might)! Jason was great to work with and very accomodating - lots of communication and responded to questions quickly.

Thanksgiving Family Event
Originally from the Tucson area but we came in for the holidays and wanted to help my older family members not to have to worry about the extra bodies I brough with us and wanted to be able to host Thanksgiving. We had a small family gathering and it was perfect. Had to work while there and loved the view. Couldn't have asked for a better place. The host was so attentive and responsive as well.

Magical is a correct description!
Jason, our host, could not have been more accommodating. His home was exactly as described and offered us a superb vacation. We would recommend this home to those that want to stay away from the hustle and hustle but yet have that hustle and bustle readily available. It is literally on the side of a mountain and offers spectacular views in an exquisite home. The one lane paved switchback driveway takes some getting used to but it is in perfect condition and easily negotiable.

A peaceful and lovely retreat
The house is beautiful, well-furnished, and in an excellent and very private location with abundant wildlife and birds (roadrunners!). The views of the surrounding mountains and desert from the many balconies were lovely, especially at sunrise and sunset. Wifi and entertainment options were great. Jason was an outstanding host, very responsive to questions and providing good recommendations for the area. We loved our stay, and would definitely come again. Highly recommended!

Ventana Canyon 5 star experience
This property is spectacular, probably the 1st VRBO I've stayed in where the house was better than the listing, as the listing does not mention the spectacular views and how high in the foothills the property is. We spent hours on the 3 balconies' enjoying the beauty and serenity of the home's location. The home itself is also spectacular and very well appointed. A "must do" for anyone whom wishes to stay at Ventana Canyon (a 1st class 5 star resort, and this home made our long weekend even better than staying at the resort ever could have).

Views for days!
We have stayed at lots of rentals and this one ranks in our top five. The location was spectacular and our multi-generational group had plenty of space to enjoy our stay in Tucson. We knew we wouldn’t be hiking, so it was nice to be surrounded by the nature of the desert on the patios. The house was very well-equipped for cooking and Jason was very communicative to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended!

A Definite Paradise
We loved the sunrises, sunsets, the views, cocktails and morning teas and coffees on the balconies. Watching the road runners was a hoot! It was the place to be and exactly what we needed to relax! Would love to return for another vacation!

Best place I've ever stayed on Virbo
This was one of the rare places I've stayed that not only did everything right but exceeded expectations. All the important things that every house should have for your stay were there. On top of that the house was incredible and had unbelievable views of Tucson down below as well as the natural landscape of the Arizona desert. The location is a perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. I can't imagine you'll do better than this place if you're looking to stay in Tucson. I highly recommend it.

Quick trip
My husband and I enjoyed this home. Location was great. Jason text us to let us know we could check in early and was very responsive to text and making sure everything was good at the house. We were up early every morning to watch sunrise on the deck while drinking our coffee and before it got too hot. The home is beautiful and had many choices of what coffee maker to use. We enjoyed our stay and plan to be back. 😁

Superb Stay
This property is superb. My spouse and I had such a wonderful experience staying here. The property itself is gorgeous both inside and out. (The pictures really don't capture the full beauty of it.) There are excellent views from every window when you are inside the house, and it only gets better when you are outside on one of the porches or sitting by the secluded pool. Taking advantage of the pool every evening during sunset was just magical. Everything was in pristine condition when we arrived and the property is perfectly appointed. The furniture and decorating are both handsome and comfortable. The location of the property is great because while you feel secluded and peaceful, it is situated near restaurants, stores, hiking, and anything else you might want. On top of all that, the host is very friendly and was wonderful about communicating with us and making sure we arrived and enjoyed our stay. This is one of those properties that reminds you how special renting a vacation home can be and we will definitely return in the future.

Beautiful, Private, plus a Country Club Experience
We selected this property for a family get together since one of our daughters was staying in the Tucson area. The property is exactly as described, and certainly has the feel of absolute privacy despite the fact that it is located within a gated, country club community with plenty of other beautiful homes and immaculate landscaping. The house is beautiful, immaculately clean, with at access to 2 outdoor decks and 1 patio area that has a nice gas grill. The great room is huge and wonderful, with fantastic views of the surrounding foothills (I'd call them mountains). TV electronics are a bit confusing, but we figured it out (nice to see an Apple home - we used iPhone to screen cast services if not available on the owners various Roku accounts). Kitchen was great with plenty of space and all the dishes and other utensils you might need. The pool and outdoor area was nice and cool and we used it every day (despite the description as a lap pool, it is actually a very nice size). This house included basically a 1-week membership to the country club, so you have access to pickle ball and tennis courts as well as the country club pool. There was no charge for any of the facilities but you might want to verify that. The facilities were practically empty - we played pickle ball every day with no issues reserving a court. Of note, the house is about a mile away from the pool/courts and it's not an easy walk back so I would recommend driving down. Plenty of parking right there.

Truly Lovely
We loved our stay at Jason's property in the foothills. My parents (in their mid 80's), my brother, sis-in-law and I all stayed for a week. We all hope to return! The location and views were amazing, and I fell in love with the charming terracotta tile throughout the home. We all appreciated having 3 thermostat zones in the home so my parents could be warm and I could stay cool at night, for example. I stayed in the third bedroom which was light, bright, spacious and beautiful with a powder room right next door. My parents and bro/sis had ensuite bathrooms with nice showers (and one with a large tub). We all appreciated the Lodge passes and ate several times at the Lodge which had excellent food, service and was reasonably priced. The roaring fire in the Lodge was also lovely. And, I had an amazing massage from Gayle at the spa at the Lodge and it was also very reasonably priced. The owner Jason was communicative, kind and super responsive. We all had a lovely vacation!

Location is perfect!!
The house has great views. It sits high above the Ventana Golf resort (which you have use of). The master bedroom and bath are huge. There are 2 other bedrooms (1 is ensuite). It was great that Jason provided paper towels, toilet paper, Shampoo and was in contact during the stay. During my stay, I just wished the pool was warm enough to use. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking. It's easy to get to Sabino Canyon, East Sagaruo NP and other areas for walking/hiking.

Terrific views
Dr Theo was very thorough with explaining all aspects of the rental process. Including check in and checkout and everything in between. Always notified us before anyone showed up to empty trash or clean the pool. The house itself was comfortable with a very large living/entertaining area.You will not be disappointed with the views of Tucson and the surrounding hills, day or night!
