"Charming little hotel right on Saratoga Lake. Format is an old-style "tavern on the bottom, small rooms above" configuration. The room was snug and outfitted in a clean, updated Colonial fashion. Didn't give 5 stars for service, not because it was bad, but it was essentially self-check and stay. Lovely to wake up to the lake outside our window. A couple of caveats that might affect your choice. The rooms are small (at least ours was), so don't plan on spreading your stuff out. If you can't...

"The room was just wonderful, with a spa. I only needed to stay for a few hours as I went hiking, needed to rest, shower, and then drive 4 hours home. This was wonderful, clean, and just where I needed it to be. I will be staying here again if need be."

"Had no shampoo in the room - went to front desk at 10pm - clerk said they are out and waiting on a shipment. Checked out in the AM - clerk asked how our stay was - told her about no shampoo - she said no they have shampoo and the clerk last night should have had plenty to give - W/E Place needs a major upgrade...... "Property was in good shape, though I recommend the owner consider refinishing the tub, the current paint job is not so good. The location is too far from downtown Troy to easily walk but is an easy drive. The building has multiple units and finding the right one was a bit tricky, but the place was clean and well-kept overall and parking was easy, I would stay again."

"We were there for a concert in Albany. Perfect place to spend time with friends rather than getting all separate hotel rooms. Great location only a 10-15 minute drive to Albany. House was nice and roomy. Clean and comfortable. Thanks!"
