"Michael and Teegan provided a seemless process for check-in. Slight issue with wifi network was resolved quickly. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Nice apartment with cool historic past. Stopped in the speakeasy in the basement of some bank bldg - very hip place. Effingham is doing some really cool things and this place is one of them."

"A nice and quiet home with a lot of space and comfortable accommodations. The access to the lake was wonderful as we had family close that could boat over .The back porch area was great and enjoyed by adults as well as the children in our group . The communication with the hosts was great and any questions were answered quickly .A great place to stay and hope to visit again in the future. "

"I stayed on the dock for hours: water splashed, insects chirped, large perches frolicked, herons came to visit, black scoters dove and bobbed up. Excellent golf course - Meadowview - is 13 minutes away! And two more a little further. Alamo steakhouse is 14 minutes drive; their crème brûlée is to die for! "This is a great no frills little lake house. Large yard for kids to run around with a large sun deck on the water with easy access (steps) to the lake for swimming etc. no boat dock that I found but we didn’t really need one during this stay. Katie is great and responds very quickly to any questions. Thanks Katie we had a great time and hope to see you next year!"

Even the hotel staff attempted to help but she was not able to make changes as it was an expedia reservation that was made at last minute. Another co.pany apparently intercepted the call to hotel to attempt making a reservation and that company wanted double the fee for a room. "
