Beautiful location

Adorable town with great dining options. House was the person for a group of six. Check I. Process was smooth and hosts easy to reach.

Incredible hosts, perfect quiet seaside village

This house in Marathopoli was the perfect home base for our family of 7 (all adults except one teen) for a week in June. Wanting to avoid crowded cities, this small seaside village 3.5hrs southwest of Athens was ideal to relax and unwind, serving up amazing local food, with a beautiful spot to swim in the sea at the end of the street or at the gorgeous beach nearby. We ventured out to a waterfall, took a boat ride to the island close by for some snorkeling, and explored some castles and nearby villages. Our hosts were extremely attentive, and responsive to our every need and request, including providing us with a cooking lesson at their nearby restaurant and hiring a messeur to come to the house to provide us all massages. It was everything we hoped tor and we would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation!

Huge property good for large families

Great sunsets! Pool and balcony were great. Huge property with plenty of bathrooms. Marathopoli was a nice town and Voidokilia is a must see. Well equipped kitchen but the water pressure was low so it was hard to clean the sink well. Neighbourhood dogs were an effective alarm clock at 5am. Switched pillows with the children’s room as there was a smell of smoke in our room even though the bedding was clean. The basement area was being developed which was fine, not our area, but it was disconcerting to hear workmen as the connecting door could not be locked.

Perfect villa for families

We stayed here as two families with teenagers. The villa is situated 5 minutes walk from Marathopoli itself, great location for restaurants and small supermarket. Even closer to the jetty where locals and visitors enjoy the crystal clear Ionian waters and cool off. Easy to reach the many attractions of the area - from sandy beaches to ancient monuments. Both the agent (Holihouse) and the owner (Katerina) were very responsive from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. For a reasonable fee, we had the villa cleaned and the linen changed twice a week. All rooms, except the twin room, have air conditioning - a blessing during the heatwave when we stayed. The garden is very attractive and the new pool was perfect for cooling down in the heat of the day. Thank you for giving us a memorable holiday.
