Well, check in process was seamless and the decor was nice… That does not compensate for the lack of cleanliness, multiple surprises, and poor communication with the host.
Upon check in, surprised how dirty the porch area and front door was, bug stains, and cobwebs. Once in, we started entering various rooms- We saw bug stains on the walls, multiple flies on ceilings and walls, and dead flies and bugs in the windowsills of each room even laying on the bed, we found a fly swatter & killed multiple flies within the first hour or two of being there, and then finally killed a few wasps.
The next morning, learned that the Keurig coffee maker did not work, there was no back up coffee pot.
We also heard some rattling in the vent above the gas stove top. Leading us to believe that there was potentially some type of animal or bird in the vent.
We were unable to get an Internet connection and therefore, were not able to watch TV all wknd.
When I reached to the host - he explained that the cleaner was there one night earlier and it was “perfect.” Nope.
I sent photos to support my concerns and received no response.
I also msgd requesting extra toilet paper…there was no additional rolls in the house. No response.
Bottom line - no response plus no apology…not worth the money. When you rent, you expect cleanliness above anything else. But one extra roll of toilet paper would have been nice?!
Last surprise - no check out instructions, no msg or email? Disappointing.
