"Stayed for a long weekend; perfect location and great amenities. We were luckily enough to see a red squirrel! The crows were a little annoying but very little you can do about that, they must have been nesting so we had our very own personal early alarm call! Would reccommend the cottage and would definitely go back if visiting the region again. Only thing to mention would be the mould that was starting to develop on the bathroom ceiling."

"We were 7 adults and 4 children (7-10 ages) and this house was so spacious, we never saw the children. There was a small park opposite too. The bedrooms were a good size with en suites. A lovely patio, a real sun trap and giant gas bar b q. Plenty of crockery and utensils. A second enormous fridge in utility room. We really did have a fabulous week. "

"The property is undoubtedly small. It was very clean and comfortable - a perfect base for exploring this wonderful area. Plenty of grocery stores and pubs/restaurants in surrounding area. A very steep narrow staircase leading to the second level of the property. I note this has been mentioned in other reviews too. Overall, my wife and I were very satisfied with the property."

"We had a fantastic stay in Ambleside, largely due to the location of this property. A 5 minute walk from the centre of town and lots of restaurants and pubs but far enough away from the centre to be private. Amazing views. "Beautiful views… The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The host Janet was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and completely respected our privacy. Awesome place to stay, with amazing walks just outside the door. We loved the waterfall which was a very short walk away… The track leading to the accommodation is covered in potholes which is the only downside. The views and the walks outweigh this minor inconvenience. We highly recommend…"
