The nearby USS Yorktown aircraft carrier and the USS Laffey Destroyer ship were fascinating. And the friendly free shuttle service to Charleston for site seeing and restaurants took just 14 minutes. We’ll be back next year!"

"Gorgeous and classy hotel, with high end amenities and an impressive mini bar. Great location and close to the airport. Herons, the restaurant in the hotel, was a bonus as well. Food and presentation were superb! For a hotel of this caliber though, I was underwhelmed by the staff. My expectations were high given the price point etc. They didn’t seem as “polished” or friendly as one would expect. Nonetheless, I would definitely stay there again. "

"Our family took our very first family vacation here for spring break. The resort is absolutely beautiful, and everyone we encountered was super friendly. Access to the ocean was extremely easy as well, which was wonderful as I had never seen the ocean before. I would say the only part we weren’t the happiest about was our meal at their restaurant. It was rather pricey and the food was not what you would expect, we did not choose to dine there again during our week at the resort. Other than...

"We have visited multiple times and we do because it’s historic, charming and relaxing. The view from the terrace is second to none, Edison lunch was very good and service was great. GPI is always on our list of favorites. "
