「All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. 「We had a lovely midweek break. This property was ideally situated so we hardly used the car. The property had everything we needed and we appreciated this welcome pack!」

「Fabulous stay in this unique folly! it was lovely to see the sea and horses from the windows each day and there was plenty of activities to keep the children entertained close by - especially finding sea glass treasure on the local beaches.」

「An amazing place, the kids and dog loved it. So much freedom with it been locked gates and fence. Great selection of toys games and outdoor equipment theyve really thought of everything. Highly recommended for anyone with children. The space inside and outside the property is amazing no one was in anyones way loads of space to do your own thing. Doesnt matter about the weather there is enough things to keep you occupied in all weathers. Local aldi and coop within 10 min drive.Cant wait to go...

「The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. 」

「Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!」

「No expense spared at all… breathtaking even with the fog! Jane was welcoming and couldn’t offer enough and the little touches on arrival were lovely! Can not wait to return already! 」

「The cottage lovely and is just what you need as a home from home. It is very clean and warm. My family enjoyed our time here. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the dining room especially has beautiful lighting. At the moment the area outside the cottage is anything but restful with major renovations well underway to the railway. Parking is mentioned on the website, but the dirt track leading to it is very narrow and full of potholes. However, we were able to park on the...

「Property was brilliant area excellent as I know it well being from Walker originally.Could not fault the cottage apart from the obviously inflated price for Sam Fender concert. As a Geordie this didn't go down too well. A must if you are a visitor to the area as it is set in an idyllic and central area for almost everything worth visiting in Newcastle area and beyond.」

「Had a lovely time staying here for a few days. We had a couple of places we had on our bucket list and this was a good base. Didn’t get a chance to see the arch near by by as it was raining. Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. Thank you for loaning us your pass for the Beamish Living Museum, had a lovely day even though we got a little wet. 」

「There was a problem with a first room during first night in block 90. All night people were walking, yelling,floors were squicking, then at 3 am someone began dropping dumbbells on the floor ... But fortunately the hotel reception person switched us over to block 94 to the top floor and it was quiet and nice ,better shower room . The worst hotel stay in the entire trip

"Extremely poor service and stay. We were given a smaller room than we had asked for (images do not match the actual state of the room), and the air conditioner is broken; we were provided with fans but we do not have proper ventilation in our room, causing the room to be very hot and stuffy, and after taking a shower the room becomes very damp. Television does not work, and the fans aren't very good. There are also insect stains on the bedding. Service is misleading, we were told that our check out was at noon however we were urged to leave as soon as 11am came by, asking to charge us for overstaying in the hotel. Our belongings were held at the lobby as well because of this, and the staff were reluctant to return our belongings. Extremely disappointed at the service and conditions of the hotel, will not recommend it to anyone."
