"We arrived here very late so only had a short experience but it was great. The room was very comfy and a decent size and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was the best we had on our Norway trip. Really varied and tasty with an amazing view of the mountains. We didn't get time to use the spa or other facilities but it was very convenient for heading up to Gaustatoppen."

"As a museum professional I think it is amazing that such an old building can be put to modern use but with respect for the old building. However our room was cramped in relation to the prize we paid for it, and it was very hot. The least the hotel could do in a building where installing AC is impossible, is to provide fans. Also there naturally were no elevators, but the hotel could have provided porters, which would also have been historically correct. Our 5 course dinner was good, but one...

Nymalt som det var så mangler det noe å henge håndklær på og det bør være sjampo eller tilsvarende på badet. Frokosten var helt ok for å kommer i gang med dagen. Førsteinntrykket når man kjører inn porten setter en demper på det historiske fine stedet(se bilde)"
